Aloha from Waikiki!
Stewart and I met up at the airport on Wed. Our flights ended up about an hour apart. It felt very humid and warm! We took a cab to our hotel, the Trump. The traffic was very slow, not sure if this is a regular thing but I think it might be. We found a spot to eat dinner and just walked around a bit in our area and along the beach. Our hotel is beautiful and we got upgraded so we actually had a bit of an ocean view.
Thursday was a gorgeous day! Not much Vog (volcano caused smog). Very hot. We walked the beach road looking at all the shops. It was a day just to walk around and enjoy. The bougainvillea is spectacular! We also spotted some very cute birds. Brazilian Cardinals with little crests, and wow Java Rice Sparrows. All introduced to Hawaii. We went to the beach late in the afternoon to cool off before going out for a wonderful diner at Le Mer. Our table was right beside an open window overlooking the beach. Off to the Big Island of Hawai'i in the morning!
